Meet the Team!

Jared Floirendo, Founder & Designer (he/him)

Founder and Designer for the Bansa Project, Jared's favorite Filipino tradition is the sometimes competitive family karaoke battles during family events. Jared loves the Bansa Project because it enables Filipinos and non-Filipinos to learn, appreciate, and represent a beautiful and diverse culture. He is very excited to see how the project will become a beacon for Filipino heritage, and how it can continue to serve the broader community.

Jalen Worthen, Education & Advocacy Lead (he/him)

Education and Advocacy for the Bansa Project, Jalen's favorite Filipino tradition is "Pasko," the four-month celebration of Christmas. As a man of God, he cherishes this pivotal holiday and its extended festivities. The streets come alive with vibrant lights and star lanterns, creating a beautiful and festive atmosphere. What he loves most about the Bansa Project is its mission. In today's world, where gentrification is prevalent, reconnecting people with their roots is crucial. He strongly believes that maintaining traditions and culture is essential as people build their families. He is eager to see how the project's apparel will continue to evolve and educate about Filipino culture as it grows.
